Sharpsteen Museum preview party

Calistoga’s Sharpsteen Museum, 1311 Washington St., will hold a preview party from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday for its new exhibit, “Victorian Wardrobes of the 1800s,” on loan from the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville. Monthly peace vigil

Women in Black will hold a silent peace vigil from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lyman Park. Women and men are invited to join the vigil held the first Saturday of each month. Call Sandee Dickson, 963-3212, or Judith Rose, 963-144, for more information.

‘Cemetery Tour’ on Saturday

The St. Helena Historical Society will hold its annual Spirits of St. Helena cemetery tour from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The tours will be held at 1:30, 2 and 2:30 p.m. rain or shine at the St. Helena Cemetery, 2461 Spring St. Tickets are $10 and available at the cemetery or through www.brownpapertickets.com/event/ 84680. Clinica Verde fundraiser

The sixth-grade class at Pacific Union College Elementary School is holding a movie-night fundraiser for Susan Dix Lyons’ Clinica Verde in Nicaragua at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the PUC Church fireside room in Angwin. The film will be “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” Admission is free but donations will be accepted. There will also be food available for purchase. Call 965-2459.

Upper Valley Republicans meet

Edelweiss Geary will discuss “What does cap and trade mean to me?” at the 11 a.m. Monday luncheon meeting of the Upper Napa Valley Republicans at the Silverado Brewing Co. Lunch is $17 and reservations are required by Friday. Call Betty Cope, 968-6369.



‘Look Good . . . Feel Better’


The free “Look Good . . . Feel Better” program, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Queen of the Valley Community Outreach in Napa. To register call (800) 227-2345.

Christmas plant sale

Orders for holiday blooms offered through the annual Christmas plant sale sponsored by the Women’s Opportunity Fund are due by Nov. 10. Plants will be delivered Dec. 2 and Dec. 9. Winter Arts Fair

The annual Winter Arts Fair at the White Barn, 2727 Sulphur Springs Ave., featuring work by local artists and craftspeople, will be held Nov. 20, 21 and 22. A preview night from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, will include wine, a winter soup, dessert and light music. A donation of $15 is suggested. Admission to Saturday and Sunday’s fair from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. is free. Proceeds benefit the Arts Council of Napa Valley.
